Tian Su is VP Personalisation, Discovery and AI at Zalando, where she is responsible for enhancing the customer experience through technology and innovation (personalisation, recommendation, search and browse). She joined Zalando in 2021, bringing extensive experience from previous roles in the retail, finance, and medical industries. Tian holds a PhD in Immunology from Yale University and advanced degrees in Computer Science and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Heidelberg University, respectively. Under her leadership, Zalando has been integrating advanced AI technologies, e.g. launching its AI powered Zalando Assistant, to enable an even more personalised shopping experience for customers across Europe. In addition, she's leading a research- as well as an analytics team to help teams across Zalando to truly understand Zalando's customers and develop solutions that bring value to them. Tian was born in China, studied in the US and Germany and spent a major part of her professional career in the US before moving to Germany to join Zalando.
